Defying The Stereotypical

This is the first time I’ve felt something like this.

And keeping it to myself, hurts very much.

“Those who engage in these creative endeavors are the ones who are the future of medicine, Parkinson says. “It’s sad to me that medical schools look for the highest GPAs, the best med/MCAT scores, the people that can brown nose their way to the top,” he says. “Those aren’t good doctors, I’ll tell you that much—it’s the people who are well rounded, who are leaders, who have the courage to think differently and inspire us all.” — via (via jayparkinsonmd)

How I upgraded to iOS5

After gazillion attempts, I’ve finally upgraded Penelope to iOS5. Getting the software was like looking for a needle in the middle of a hay stack. And it’s obvious that I’m not the only person to experience this and I think I’d like to share to you guys what I did. Actually, I just learned it from the internet as well. It’s just a matter of choice in which way you’d like to do it, and this is what worked for me.

STEP 1: I went  to this website to download the firmware. You guys are probably wondering why I have to go to a seperate website to download the firmware when you can download it straight from iTunes. Well, I’ve tried that for several times and it didn’t really work out to well due to heavy traffic and high consumer demands for iOS5. So imagine this as a shortcut.

STEP 2: Wait for it to finish downloading. After that I went to iTunes.Oh and be sure that your iTunes is up to date.  The next thing to do is to hold down Shift and click Restore. A window will appear and all you have to do is navigate it to where you saved your firmware and click it.

STEP 3: The waiting part. Then the next process is familiar territory and I’m pretty sure you can go through with it since the iPod is just restoring everything. There is also a part when the iOS5 is finally installed where in you’ll need to navigate your iPod to configure the required settings

STEP 4: Experience the greatest iOS ever.

*diclaimer: I’m not a pro with devices and softwares. It just so happened that I’m to stubborn to give up finding ways to get what I want. And I want iOS5. HEHE. And I repeat I’m only sharing what I did to give those who had a hard time like me an idea of a better way.

I hope this gives you guys an idea on what to do. Goodluck.

Pokedex. I remember having this as a kid. I wonder what happened to it.

Upgrading to iOS 5

This is the nth time I’ve attempted to download the iOS 5. Because every time I do, something really weird happens and disrupts the download.

Come on Apple. Work with me.

I spy with my little eyes

My busy friends

My future goal

Puddles during the rain

A long and winding road

A closer view

And a greener perspective.

Sembreak Plans

I’ve managed to collect the rest of my class cards yesterday (Thursday). I must say that the feeling I had when I saw my grades were far from ecstatic. But none the less I know I got what I gave, so even stevens. I’m preventing my self to feel sad and doubtful about my choices for I know for a fact that I won’t let this happen again. Especially after learning that my GWA has met the required grade to qualify for Dean’s List which apparently is far from happening now since I’m a shifter and this other thing that I refuse to acknowledge anymore happened.

Moving on, sembreak is here so I’d rather focus on getting my sanity back as a preparation for next semester. Here’s a rundown on the things October had in stored for me.

16th- Rehearsals for Michang’s debut on November.

17th- Dental Appointment and go to school to meet with Qwerty.

18th- Volunteering as a facilitator for the Bida: Be the Change at ADMu

28th- Enrollment.

29th-  SJ’s debut

I just wish that within a span of 2 weeks I could do something that isn’t within the realm of normal for me. I want to go Ice Skating or whatever. You know, something that would remind me that there is life outside the walls I’m barricading myself in.

I think I’ll put up the Christmas Lights in my room now.

Playing with textures.

On wearing glasses that aren’t your grade

Don’t do it! It’s seriously dumb and horrifying. A few hours ago I tried my friend Ryan’s glasses because I was really curious on how things would look through his specs and now I’m left with regrets. It was such a wrong move. I wish I didn’t succumb to the curiosity on trying his glasses. Now I feel as if I’m about to vomit with every move I make. I also feel a little numb from the top of my head down to my nape. I’ve always felt like this when I try other people’s glasses.

My good judgement is obviously always overpowered by my curiosity. Ryan’s eye grade is 125 on the left and 200 on the right. Extremely high. I wonder how he manages to do sports without them. Anyways, the reason why I tried his was because I’m planning to get glasses as well. It didn’t really work out with my parents because the last time I went to the doctor back in High School he told Dad that I had a perfect vision and is in no need to wearing any. But things are different now. I often get motion sickness, night blindness and motion blindness. I literally can’t keep up with television programs that captures fast paced scenes. Especially race cars!

I wonder if the fact that I also told my parents that I’ve already selected the frames that I would want (Cat-eyed) to wear had any impact on why they think I’m exaggerating my symptoms.
